Starting Wednesday, October 14th we will hold high school boys basketball shooting practice from 4-5 in the gym!
Student Council News
The Student Council has a lot of things going on this month!
-We have started Baskets at Lunch. When students in grades 6th-12th finish eating on Mondays they can go to the gym to shoot hoops.
-On Thursday 10/15 we are starting Pawnee Pride Days. Every Thursday students are encourage to wear Pawnee gear, or red and black clothing to show their school pride! This will continue every Thursday.
-We are having Red Ribbon Week 10/26-10/29. This will include an assembly and dress up days.
-We will have our annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest 10/26-10/29

The clay target team continues to practice and improve. Our first week Chase Mowery was the top shooter breaking 47 out of 50 targets with a 25 out of 25 in the first flight. At yesterdays shoot Mayson Cacciola was the top shooter breaking 48 out of 50 targets also shooting 25 out of 25 in the first flight.
Prairie has sent the following Covid 19 guidelines for our junior high game, Thursday October 8th.
What to expect for the Prairie vs. Pawnee Junior High Game on Thursday, Oct. 8th.
Prairie is adhering to the requirements and mandates delegated by CHSAA.
There will be no concessions.
Restrooms
Visitor spectators will have access to restrooms through the northeast doors of the building, signs will help direct the way.
Home spectators will have access to the restrooms through the main entrance, using the restrooms in the main hallway.
Please have your athletes dressed upon arrival, as no locker rooms will be available.
Please bring your team bus into the field area and park on the east side of the football field on the track.
Players are encouraged to bring individual water bottles, however, small water bottles will be provided.
Hand sanitizer will be accessible for players and coaches.
Pumpkin Field Trip Day
More Pumpkin Field Trip Day fun!
We had a lot of fun at Pumpkin Field Trip Day! Eating outside, counting seeds, measuring and weighing pumpkins! We also made a pumpkin erupt!
The preschoolers are working on making patterns. Good job preschoolers!
The kindergarten students had a great time last Thursday as they enjoyed all the activities for pumpkin day!
Pumpkin day was a blast! We enjoyed a beautiful day outside with a picnic, ice cream, and lots of pumpkin science!
Clay Target Season has begun.
2nd and 3rd Grade are busy learning about animals from our story this week.
The junior high football game scheduled for this Thursday, October 1st against Fleming has been cancelled.
The fourth graders enjoying learning more about the Middle Ages and designing their own coat of arms.
The Jr. High and High School had a little fun after lunch teaching each other line dances!

District FFA Officer Elections take place virtually this afternoon at 4pm. FFA members may join by the zoom link or in the Ag Classroom after school today.
The Grover Agricultural Education Advisory Committee has a position coming available this year. If you are interested in joining the committee, and in helping to guide the direction of our Agricultural Education Program, please contact the Grover FFA Advisor.
District Leadership Conference, which includes speaking contests, will this year be held in the spring. Grover is required to provide one Creed Speaking CDE judge to the contest which will take place February 1st. The contest this year is planned to be virtual and we are still working out some of the details, but we will need a Creed Speaking judge regardless. No experience needed.
