NO BOOKMOBILE on Thursday, October 19. Unfortunately the Bookmobile is in the shop, so it won't be visiting Pawnee School this week. If you have books checked out, they will be automatically renewed. If you happen to get an overdue notice don't worry, it will be taken care of.

Congratulations Sawyer, Aubrie, and their Falcon Teammates! The Falcon Jr. High volleyball teams took home A and B Championship trophies this past weekend! "A" team ended their 2023 season undefeated in league and 9-1 at the tournament. "B" 8-2. The C team also won each set in their pool!
Woohoo Falcons, and our own Coyote athletes!

HATS ARE IN!!! Students got a sneak peek this week as they walked between classes...they look awesome! Come to the bonfire tomorrow night if you placed an order, and enjoy the event in true Pawnee style! :) Thank you again for your support!!

THIS SATURDAY!! Join us as we close out our Homecoming Week 2023 with a bonfire! There will be corn hole, volleyball, and an overall sense of community. Not to mention free s'mores and hot chocolate! Our four high school classes are also offering hamburgers and hot dogs for donations. We hope to see all of our current students and staff, as well as alumni and the greater Grover community that supports us so generously. See you there! :)

1st graders learning about shadows.

A few of the high school Life Skills students and their finished pillows! I am so proud of the 7-12 graders. Almost every pillow is done! They have all done a great job and learned some sewing skills. Between the two class periods, 16 students sewed pillows. Thank you to Bobbi Hoffman and Paula Tietmeyer for their fabric donations which gave the kids lots of color and design choices. A special thank you to Mrs. Rita Johnston for helping students print their favorite images to the pillowtops.

The StuCo "Pie an Officer" fundraiser is up and running! $1 per vote. On Thursday, 10/19 the Student Council Officer with the most votes will get a pie in the face during lunch. The winner will also get to choose the charity that half of the proceeds will be donated to. Help us raise money for a good cause! (And have some fun while we're at it!) Voting buckets are in the office. Thanks, everyone!

K-1 Creative Arts Life Skills students molded their favorite foods out of our homemade Play Doh.
We have some talented sculptors!

Results of the Veggie Car Races: Barrett Gadbury went 24 feet for the winning distance. Barrett Burke had the scariest car. Phynix Suppes had the cutest car. Yuren Castillo had the funniest car, and Gus Ehmke's car was the fan favorite. The 1st and 2nd graders are sitting with their cars, where they rolled to in the picture.

The kindergarten and preschool students read the story of "The Three Bears" and made their own comfortable "just right" chairs.

The 3rd and 4th grade with their amazing state float designs!

1st and 2nd Graders have been busy making "Veggie" cars. They are learning about motion, force and friction. They will be racing their cars to see which one will go the furthest on Thursday afternoon.
